Company History
In 2010, parent company of Backforty Inc was founded and enter in the outdoors and auto parts products market. With the growth of the enterprise in these years the company now occupies three (3) manufacturing facilities with a total area of 900,000 square feet. The production capacity is more than six (6) containers per day with a regular mass production lead time of 35 days.
Backforty is establishing Mossy Horn as a brand in the US to bring the highest quality product delivering huge value in categories including treestands, ladder stands, climbers, hunting accessories, and shooting accessories. Mossy Horn will strive to discover, engage, earn, and expand our customer base through innovation, safety, stability, and best in class customer service to make our customers brand ambassadors for Mossy Horn and our retailer partners.
Domestic warehouses in the greater Los Angeles area allows Backforty to provide fulfillment for our brands to customers looking to manage their inventory levels while taking care of their customer’s needs. Our Team
Brian started as an assistant buyer at Gart Bros. Sporting Goods in Denver. The company became Gart Sports and eventually Sports Authority after mergers in the sporting goods channel. Brian has spent much of his career as a buyer in multiple categories at Gart’s, Bass Pro Shops, and Sports Authority. Brian has been the merchant for multiple categories including camping, fitness, golf, racquet sports, baseball, football, all other team sports, and wheeled goods, baseball.
Brian was national sales manager for two companies in the hydration/water bottle space prior to being recruited to a retailer in the mass merchant channel where he was the category manager for Hardware and Electronics. There he spent significant time traveling to China, as the business he managed was approximately 90% direct import. He pioneered multiple programs from the ground up in each of his buying positions. In addition to developing and supporting sales and inventory initiatives, Brian has a very creative eye, which has been integral in developing and implementing numerous products, package design, fixture design, and space planning solutions.
As a seasoned merchant, Brian has the valuable ability to connect and partner with merchants and suppliers in a way that very few people can. He knows what it takes for programs and assortments to succeed and will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Although native to Colorado, Brian now lives in Texas with his wife and daughter enjoying all the music and recreation the Texas Hill Country has to offer.
